Winter Returns to the Alps
Anyone who visited over February will have returned with big smiles, suntans and stories about amazing conditions and day to night sunshine. Speak to anyone who visited last week and they would have had a different story. The weather warmed up over February, which was great for half term but bad for the snow. Up top was fine, but the lower runs turned into Mr Whippy by 2pm. And when it did start snowing up top it was raining down below :( But all that has changed! The tempera

Ski Season 2018/2019 Kicks Off
And what a fab start. We were getting a little concerned in November as last year we were under 6 foot of the white stuff by the start of December, but our worries were laid to rest and three good dumps have meant the pistes are in amazing condition. I had my first ski on Saturday. Blue skies, empty slopes and perfect conditions. Ok so not all lifts were open and it got a little crusty towards the lower lifts but up top in Courchevel it was great snow. Since Saturday we've ha

January 2018 and the snow keeps falling
Well wow, what a start to the season! We spent New Year in the UK and returned on New Year's Day to feet of snow! So much we had to dig our way into our house! (That's a first). What followed though was not fun! Icy torrential rain, snow, sleet and even hail right up to 1850 in Courchevel! Whilst this was not enough to wash away the immense amount of snow we've had what it did do was put a nasty icy crust on top of all the lovely skiable snow making conditions awful lower dow

Welove2ski.com
I received a great email today. Welove2ski.com is a brilliant ski site published by Sean Newsom (Ski Editor of the Sunday Times), Peter Hardy (Ski Correspondent of The Daily Mail and Daily Telegraph) and Felice Hardy (Freelance journalist for many well known ski magazines) and is a fabulous site for up to date honest ski conditions and snow reports covering all ski resorts from France through to Italy and beyond. They have published an article on Brides-les-Bains and it featu

Finished and the snow has Fallen
So our beautiful apartment is now finished! We've spent hours carefully choosing all the furniture and decorations. We've shipped pieces from England, Lithuania, Spain and France to ensure the apartment meets our exact requirements. We've had fantastic first feedback from our private guests, chalet owners and ski companies in the area and we have our first booking this weekend. Thanks for our builders, @AntonWood (Fantastic Carpentry), @bhubo2013 (Bhubo Decoracion, brilliant

The wood floors are down and look magnificent and the walls have all been plastered. The space looks huge, much bigger then it looked as a shell. The entrance hallway is large and the cupboards wil

Site visit 19th May 2017
We are nearly one month away from getting the keys to our apartment and progress is gearing up. Although still looking very much the building site the builders are adamant they will beat the scheduled handover of the 24th June. The driveway and gardens are set and the exterior of the building is finished. The ski room is still a shell, but is a massive space and even with the cupboards fitted I hope for space for a bench too. The entrance hall will also be a grand entrance wi
