And the snow keeps falling...

Wow, what a start, and the lifts are not even open yet!

The snow started falling last week. Not a huge dump like November 2016 but enough to give the slopes a good base. We took Jack sledging up at Meribel Village last Sunday and there was certainly enough to pick up quite a bit of speed.

Plus the snow cannons are running every day and the piles are getting bigger. You can see one in the photo of the kids sledging.

Val D'Isere and Val Thorens opened last week too. I was up at Val D'Isere two weeks ago and they already had a good base on the lower slopes and the new snow will only improve this. (Brides to Val D'Isere by car in 1 hour, Brides to Val Thorens by car 45 minutes)

And then this morning, we woke up to snow in Brides! Not masses (just a few cm) but enough to make the town look really Christmassy. The forecast is showing snow showers for the next 3 days in Brides and all over the mountain, then 3 days of sun/thaw and back to more snow to finish off next week.

Plus La Niche welcomed it's first guests. Paul and I ensured everything was perfect and we've secured our first review. Giving us 10/10 for everything. So we're feeling very pleased.

We've still got lots of space for the ski season, and it's already looking much better then last year, and with our rates not at peak time, now is the time to book some early season skiing.
