As the season comes to an end...

Wow, what a great first season. Not only have we had an unprecedented amount of snow (and it's still falling) we have had some wonderful guests stay in La Niche from as far away as Dubai to guests from the UK, Belgium, Spain and France.

Although it's been a great season for snow we could really do with some sun! (The photo was taken last week on the lower slopes of Le Praz).

Unlike last season where the snow was patchy but we were skiing in vests this season the sun has hardly appeared. Still there are a few weeks left and it is warming up. Gone are the -17 days!

There is now a buzz in Brides-les-Bains as the first 'curistes' arrive and the Thermal season has officially started with the opening of the newly renovated spa. Brides-les-Bains is one of the few alpine all year round towns and is France's leading thermal slimming and Rheumatology resort.

I have even spied my first cyclist tackling the Tour de France Meribel route!

La Niche still has space for some last minute skiing in early April or why not visit in the summer? We are fully booked for July and August but have space in the other months. It's truly beautiful here and even if you don't want to lose weight you can take advantage of all the stunning hiking and biking routes. Meribel offers a huge amount of mountain bike trails from family friendly through to serious advanced trails. Or you can tackle the mountain roads and challenge yourself to climb them.
