What an amazing alpine summer

As I write this I am looking out from our house towards Meribel and the trees are just starting to show signs of Autumn. But the sun is shining and it's HOT!

Our guests had a great summer in Brides-les-Bains, relaxing in the spa, swimming in the many lakes that are close by and exploring Annecy plus daytrips over the border to Italy.

Brides-les-Bains had another very successful Jazz festival in July and the new spa facilities are certainly attracting record numbers of visitors.

But now we are are starting to turn our heads to Ski Season :))

Hard to tell what the weather will bring yet. The locals say if the mice come in early it means a cold winter but so far no sign of mice! Having said that our cave was inundated with mice in 2016 and the snow was poor that year!

Whatever the weather though, Meribel and Courchevel have been investing heavily this year in new chair lifts and snow cannons and as previously demonstrated will have the slopes open come what may on the 8th December until the 22nd April.

La Niche is nearly fully booked for ski season, but we have had a couple of cancellations. One for Christmas week and one in late January. If the week you want is booked up, keep checking as I will re-release weeks if we get cancellations.
